Zach Senecal, pt
HE/HIM
Registered PHYSIOTherapist
Zach completed his Bachelor of Human Kinetics at the University of Windsor before going on to earn his Master of Physical Therapy from Western University. Before returning to the Sault, he further expanded his education by completing a Bachelor of Education at the University of Windsor. Throughout his education, he gained valuable clinical experience in a variety of settings including private practice, hospital-based care, and community physiotherapy across clinics in Ontario.
Zach has a strong background in athletics, having grown up playing competitive hockey where he was drafted by the OHL Oshawa Generals and played junior hockey locally with the Soo Thunderbirds. He later competed as a track and field athlete at the University of Windsor, where he was recognized as a U SPORTS Academic All-Canadian. Through his athletic background, Zach has developed strong experience working with hockey players and runners. He now coaches Track and Field at St. Mary’s College. His experience competing and coaching at a high level has shaped his understanding of injury prevention, performance, and the importance of maintaining the body over time.
Zach practices with a focus on orthopedic physiotherapy and takes a holistic approach to patient care, looking at the individual as a whole while addressing underlying biomechanical factors contributing to injury. He works with people of all ages and activity levels, from those looking to stay active, getting back to sport, or returning to the things they love doing. He believes in giving patients the tools and knowledge to prevent their injuries from re-occurring.
Outside of the clinic, Zach enjoys spending time at camp, watching sports with friends, and staying active through recreational sports. He is excited to be back home and give back to the community of Sault Ste. Marie!
